森村グループは、1876年（明治9年）、森村市左衛門と森村豊兄弟の両氏によって創立された、わが国貿易業界の草分けともいうべき森村組（現在、森村商事（株））がそのルーツです。1904年、日本陶器合名会社（現在（株）ノリタケカンパニーリミテド）が森村組の創業者らによって設立され、その後、同社の衛生陶器部門を分離して東洋陶器（株）（現在、ＴＯＴＯ（株））が、ついで、碍子部門を分離して日本碍子（株）（日本ガイシ（株））、大倉陶園（現在、（株）大倉陶園）、日本特殊陶業（株）（日本硝子ＮＧＫ点火栓部門を分離独立）、共立原料（株）（現在、共立マテリアル（株））などが設立され、世界最大のセラミックス集団を形成しています。

| What is the Morimura Group? |
| The root of Morimura Group can be found in the Morimura-kumi (today's Morimura Bros., Inc.), which was established in 1876 by two brothers, Ichizaemon and Toyo Morimura and is known as the pioneers of our country's foreign trade industry. In 1904, Noritake Co., Limited was established. Then, TOTO Ltd., NGK Insulators Ltd., Okura China, Inc., NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd. and KCM Corporation were established and forming the world's largest ceramics organization. |
