Do you know how bone china is made?
The Craft Center is a production factory that manufactures bone china.
Visitors can get an up-close view of Noritake’s craftsmanship and traditions throughout each process from production of bone china clay to decorations.
From Old Noritake products created from the Meiji era to early Showa era, to design illustrations, the museum features a wide collection of tableware on display.
A themed exhibition is on display on the 3rd floor.
*Admission fee to Craft Center includes admission to Noritake Museum.
From original mold production to glaze firing, the first floor introduces the clay production process through to poured molding.
The second floor features demonstrations on many types of decoration processes including freehand sketching (hand painting) held by master craftsmen.
China Painting Experience Corner workshop also available (separate fee required)
